How did the new technologies of WWI affect soldiers fighting on the front lines? Please include at least three examples of new technologies in your answer. - A lot of new technologies were introduced during World War 1. Many of these new technologies affected the soldiers at the front line. For example miles and miles of trenches were dug up, around the trenches there were miles of barbed wire used as an extra layer of protection for the soldiers. Poisonous gas was also useful in the fact that it could be used to harm a large amount of people in a short amount of time. It was a silent yet deadly method that was introduced into combat. Tanks were another new technology piece that was used pretty often. Tanks are extremely hard to destroy so soldiers could ride in them while going through the battlegrounds without having to worry about possibly dying. Airplanes were
