Discussion 1: Network Intrusions A network intrusion, in general, can be described as any unauthorized activity on a network. These unauthorized activities aim to sneak into any system to gather data and use it to against the victim. The victim can be anyone from a random person to a million dollars company. Some of the most common network intrusion attack techniques can be listed as buffer overwriting, traffic flooding, trojan horse, worms, and multi-routing. One of these intrusions’ target was Uber. According to (Armending, 2018), in 2016, hackers accessed 57 million Uber riders’ and drivers’ personal information through data breach. However, the way how Uber handled the situation was not a good way. Uber did not make the breach public until next year. Instead, they preferred paying $ 100,000 ransom to the hackers just believing that they were going to destroy the stolen data. Uber tried to cover-up this breach to protect its reputation; however, it did not help much. The company’s worth was $ 68 billion before this intrusion and
