Plot of the Film: The film of choice was released in the year 1977 and produced by Cinepix Film Properties. It was written and directed by David Cronenberg, as an attempt to create a sci-fi thriller that explored the phenomenon of plastic surgery, and epidemics. The film begins with the viewer being introduced to the main character Rose and her boyfriend, while they ride their motorcycle in the outskirts of Montreal. The pair unfortunately get in an accident, and both suffer severe injuries. They are rescued by a nearby plastic surgery clinic, named the Keloid Clinic, that is near enough in distance that they that heard the crash take place. Rose has life-threatening injuries, and the head of surgery of the clinic makes an ulterior decision that they will perform surgery at the clinic to save her life, rather than send her to the closest hospital, which is two hours away. The surgery performed on Rose is unique. The head of surgery explains to their team that Rose requires copious amounts of skin grafting in order to survive, and decides that they will perform a new technique on Rose to ensure that they are capable of grafting all of the areas in need.
