Chapter 10: Question 1- I think I would use the transit method if I was an alien astronomer living on a planet around a nearby star. I would use this method because a transit method that is when a planet's orbital plane happens to lie along a person's line of sight. That is when a planet will transit in front of its star once each orbit, causing a dip in the star's visible-light brightness. You can basically observe a transit when the planet passes in front of a star. The astrometric method can be used to discover Jupiter because it is used to discover a lot of new planets.
