1 Abstract Despite the fact that the human body is highly symmetrical, there is one feature that is asymmetrical and that is the human brain. The human brain is quite symmetrical physically but in function, each side is completely opposite. The preference of choosing a right side seat is dominated with the right hemisphere and this side of the brain is better with feelings and creativeness. Whereas, the left hemisphere is what dominates the left side of the cerebral brain and this is better known for the function of theoretical analysis and reason. This is considered to be the key reason behind individuals choosing a seat on the right side in a movie theatre - like situation and the left side for a biology lecture- like setting. To put this theory to test a total of 17 Brock University undergraduate students were asked to fill out a sheet of paper, both females and males in the study. Out of the 14 students, 7 disciples were given the scenario with the movie theatre and the other 7 were given the scenario of a biology lecture. There were no other biases affecting their decision making as both the papers had a similar layout with the movie screen at the top and as well as the biology lecture screen. As anticipated subjects that were given a motion picture theatre situation pick seats to the correct side and in a science address situation subjects pick seats to one side. The outcomes in the investigation and tantamount to different examinations as right seat decision is based for imagination. Left Hemisphere for Intellect vs Right Hemisphere for Imagination

2 It is very necessary to understand the inner workings of the brain and how it makes the key decisions in life. Just before one begins to analyze major decisions, it is also key to understand how the human mind decides the basics of everyday life like where to have a seat. In a study performed by Brock University undergraduate students, it is depicted the choices a student makes in a situation driven by imagination and a situation driven by the intellect. The study centers its focus on how the brainpower on the left is different from those on the right. It is said that if a person finds a topic challenging they tend to choose the left side to sit and perform the task whereas for easier topics and individual will choose the right side (Gur 1975). This indicates that the right side is for situations which do not require too much thought process and the left side is preferred by the brain in situations that require analytical processing.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
