With the cycles for Carbon, Nitrogen, and Phosphorous, what are the non-biological or physical sources of each element? What are the biological forms of these elements? How is each element recycled? 4. What is the flow of water through the biosphere? 5. What is the difference in gross and net primary productivity and where does the energy difference between them go? What ecosystems are the most productive? 6. What are the factors which influence biomes? If you were dropped from a plane anywhere in the world, how would you recognize the biome where you landed. What are the characteristics of each biome?
