LO2 EVALUATE HOW TO MOTIVATE INDIVIDUALS AND TEAMS TO ACHIEVE A GOAL. Inspiration is very important factor in human psychology. To achieve an anticipated goals or objectives it is act as a force to accomplish them. Encouraging employees in the workplace is the main job of managers to increase the performance of any employees in any sort of work. Various models of motivation is analyzed by different organizations in order to gain higher growth and success by encouraging employees. To increase profitability and growth of PureComms, company concerned with enlarging their business processes and accomplishments at a large scale. Based on the statement of Kazemipour and Mohd Amin (2012), expanding of business id very useful to increase consumer base. Different theories of motivation is denoted below: Content theory of Motivation: The content theory of motivation describes the purpose which attempts to inspire based on the desires and anticipation of individuals. In PureComms, to understand the effect of motivation on behavior of its employees, the McClelland need model is denoted below: McClelland Need Theory Need for achievement, need for power and need for affiliation are the three need theory which comprises the McClelland need theory. The theory describes the methods how requirements and necessities of people are influenced from the managerial point of view. 1. Need for Achievement: Person or individuals with need for achievement required to be recognized for what work she or he does. As a result, to analyze their own performance such individuals need time to time feedbacks 3 | P a g e
and recommendations from their line mangers. To encourage employees, PureComms required to provide their employees additional benefits such as medical cover, pension scheme etc. to work efficiently and achieve the desired task on time. 2. Need for Power: The need for power tend to influence person or individual, to control or demonstrates his or her power over other employees. This type of need can increase motivation of employees, to work hard to gain promotion and power of senior management by accomplishing their requirements. Consequently, in PureComms, staffs should execute the desired task efficiently and effectively as a team or individual to get promotion which helps company to enhance its productivity and performance.
