Strength RAISE ISSUE PROACTIVELY Meeting Regularly Encourages Both Parties to Raise Issues Proactively Meetings also inspire both the manager and the employee to raise important issues before they become urgent. Why not catch problems before they become problems? Meeting Regularly Provides Opportunity for Informal Feedback Meetings allow managers to offer informal feedback on a regular basis. Employees crave more information about how they're doing. An annual performance review simply isn't enough. Without regular direct feedback, they can end up creating false perceptions about their performance. (PDF SUPPORTING DETAILS) Benefits of meetings to organizations. To complete our model we sought perceptions of respondents on the benefits of meetings to their organizations. The findings revealed that meetings in Ugandan organizations have led to improved communication and thus better human relations at work among employees. Meetings have been a forum for settlement of conflicts and disputes. Sharing of experience among members and departments is enhanced when meetings are convened and conducted well. Many respondents felt that meetings are necessary in running their organizations as they generate new ideas for management to ensure systematic organizational work procedures. Reason #2: Staff Meetings Are Vital for Problem Solving How many times have you struggled to solve a problem, only to find out a co-worker had already faced and fixed that same problem? Staff meetings provide an opportunity for people to share problems and concerns, to work with other key players to resolve them, and to share solutions they’ve already identified. Even if staff meetings were just problem-solving meetings, they’d save your organization a lot of time and repeat effort Reason #3: Staff Meetings Help You Achieve Goals and Ensure Everyone is Following Policies & Procedures Staff meetings provide an opportunity to share organizational goals and ideas for achieving them. In my reader’s organization, there are no goals, thus, there’s no growth or improvement. Working together to set goals is a critical part of any organization’s success.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
