DIETITIAN FOR A DAY ASSIGNMENT 2 My client is a 19-year-old University student named Marlene who is in her second year of a 5-year engineering program at the University of Toronto. Since she is a student, she is constantly studying and cramming for important projects and assessments. She lives with her parents at their townhouse in North York, and commutes to and from St. George University campus everyday. The only income she is getting is from her part time job at Booster Juice and the monthly allowance she gets from her parents. However, since her tuition is very high, she has to use most of the money from her job to pay off her student loans. She is on the university debate team that meets once a week. Her schedule is clearly very busy, and she does not have much time to get active everyday since she is constantly immobile spending most of her time sitting at the library, behind the podium at her debate meetings, or manning the blender at work. Since she does not have much money for food, she mainly eats at home for breakfast and dinner. However, both her parents can barely boil water. Due to this, they mainly eat frozen dinners or order from fast food restaurants such as Dominos or Popeyes to satisfy their hunger at dinner. In the mornings, Marlene has to commute 45 minutes each day to get to her 8:30am class on time, so she either takes a sugary granola bar with her to eat in the car, quickly downs a small bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (her favourite cereal) or skips breakfast altogether. During lunch, she usually stops by the university cafeteria to get a prepared meal such as salad, pizza or chefs special, or may just have a quick snack such as chips or a chocolate bar if she has a big assessment coming up. She typically works a 7-hour shift on Saturdays and a 3 hour shift one day in the week, with a 20-minute break each shift. During this break she usually buys the funky monkey smoothie from

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
