Sep 5, 2018 Lab 1 Introduction: The target for this lab is calculation density and volume displaced, and in the part B is measuring absorbance and wavelength. It works by mass and volume of materials. Actually, we have to change the mass and volume to the density with formula. Also, dilution helps to measure absorbance and wavelength. This process is a team work with 4 members in each group. Steps: Part A: Measuring density of materials on tow techniques with different numbers 1. First, we weighed only the metal by an analytical scale with a digital readout and then we wrote mass of that in a chart. 2. We wrote the volume initial of the water in the chart. 3. We put a metal in the copper of water and added volume final to the chart. 4. Now we could have volume displaced. It is difference between volume initial and final. 5. At the end we calculated density by mass and volume in formula. Part B: Measuring absorbance after dilution 1. First, we filled the buret with our stock solution.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
