Educational Issues Cell Phone Addiction - Pretty much everywhere you go, you see iPhones. “Emotional instability, introversion, and materialism are significantly associated with cell phone addiction,” (Roberts, Pullig, & Manolis, 2015). Most do not realize the level of dependence or how addicted they actually are to their cell phones. “A survey of over 1649 college students found that they spend 97 min a day texting, 118 min searching the Internet, 41 min on Facebook, 49 Min e-mailing, and 51 min talking on their cell phone,” (Roberts, 2015). That really puts things into perspective. A lot of hours have been wasted. This is a distraction in the classrooms even for middle and high schoolers who have cell phone. “Early problematic cell phone use is moderately associated with later depression,” (Coyne, Stockdale, & Summers, 2019). Once children experience depression their capability of learning in classroom is compromised. Cyber Bullying - Youth suicides is becoming more frequent these days, and cyber bullying is one of the reasons. “The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported that suicide was the
