MORAL STATUS OF HUMAN BEING 2 Introduction Science, philosophy, and religion contradict in so many ways. The patients and their families face many challenges in trying to handle the ethical dilemmas primarily when making decisions concerning the health of their loved ones. This paper discusses the application of moral status theory and Christianity in the view of the human being during decision-making. Christian view on the nature of human persons The nature of human persons have been an argument between theologians and philosophers for several years, and similar answers are being given every year. The outcome obtained from the fields of science, philosophy, and theology influences the perception of various in on the nature of human persons (Gawron & Watson, 2017). From the Christian perspective, the true nature of human originates from the Bible. God created everything, and on the sixth day, God created a man. His statement, God said, 'Let us create man in our image and likeness' according to the book of Genesis 1:26-31. Besides, the man was given dominion over every creation. Creation of man in God's image does not mean that a man will be like God in terms of power, rather man will have the same ability, creativity, reasoning and to develop a good relationship with others (Jones & Molinari, 2018). In the book of John 3:16, God gave his only son to die for the sake of the sinful nature of human beings. The fall of humanity in the Garden of Eden reveals the sinful nature of humans. The
