PERIPHERAL VASCULAR DISEASE 2 Peripheral vascular disease Question 1 Intermittent claudication is the pain that affects people with peripheral artery disease. It majorly affects the thighs, and the hips while climbing stairs, exercising and walking. The limited supply of oxygen causes intermittent claudication to the muscles that are being used in the body ( Sontheimer, 2016). The pain usually goes away after the patient has some rest because of the reduced works of the muscle. Question 2 PAD affects the circulation of blood in the body and especially to the extremities that it is affecting. Hair loss is witnessed due to reduced blood supply to the affected extremity. The reduced blood supply causes the follicles of the hair in the right leg to become weak of which after some time, the hair becomes weak and die.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
