Human resources is planning to conduct a randomized study for a large company to compare the effectiveness of a new induction program compared to those who will receive the old program at the start of their employment. Satisfaction is measured on a numerical scale of 0 (completely unsatisfied) to 100 (extremely satisfied) Group 1 (Old Induction Program): Participants state their job satisfaction at the start of employment on a scale of 0-100, then again 3 months later Group 2 (New Induction Program): Participants state their job satisfaction at the start of employment on a scale of 0- 100, then again 3 months later.
