Composition Types or amounts of simpler substances that make up a sample of matter. Properties Characteristics that give substances their unique identity. Elements Small building blocks (ex: Hydrogen, Oxygen, Carbon). Are made up of atoms. Compounds 2 or more elements. Ionic or covalent bonds. Mixtures 2 or more compounds. Homogenous or Heterogenous Properties of Chemicals Physical → Color, melting/boiling point, density, etc. Chemical → Flammability, corrosiveness, etc. Diamond Signs by Chemical Storages Unit Conversions MUST KNOW!
