Miranda, Kenneth Effect of nitrate levels on plants (i) The purpose of this experiment is to observe the effect of nitrate levels on plants. (ii) I am trying to find out the effect of nitrate levels on plants and its growth. If different levels of nitrate (0g, 0.1g, 0.3g, 0.5g) are tested on marigold seeds, then the seed with 0.3 grams of nitrate in the water will grow the tallest. This is because plants require nitrate to grow, but too much nitrate will over-saturate the plant and reduce growth. There will be three trials in this experiment. Each trial will have 4 groups and will be watered and observed for 10 days: Pot A will receive 0.1 grams of nitrate with 100mL of water, Pot B will receive 0.3 grams of nitrate with 100mL of water, Pot C will receive 0.5 grams of nitrate with 100mL of water, and Pot D will receive 0 grams of nitrate with only water. I will place 1 marigold seed in each pot with the same amount of soil. I will have a total of 12 pots, 4 pots per trial. The plants will be watered with the same amount of water, at the

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
