Olivia Pacyna Summer Section 1 Lab Professor Xu June 19, 2019 Lab 7&8 Theory For labs seven and eight, we needed to determine the forces between two objects when a weight is pulling the object in a direction. The main equation that we needed to use for the entirety of these labs was F = ma, where F is the force, m is the mass, and a is acceleration. For this equation, if you have a bigger force, acceleration will be bigger too. If you have a bigger mass, acceleration is slower. This is because if the force that is hanging and acting on the object is larger, it is going to pull with a larger velocity, forcing the object to move quicker. If the object is heavier, it will need a greater force in order to move. In any of these situations, there is an opposite force that is acting on the object known as
