Installing a Computer CD-ROM or DVD-ROM (desktop) 1. Disconnect the power cable from the back of the computer. 2. Once you have the power disconnected, unplug all the other cables and wires from the computer. 3. Open the computer tower. 4. Above your computer's Hard Drive you will see your CD/DVD-ROM. 5. Disconnect the cables from the old drive and unscrew it from the metal casing. 6. If this is a second CD-ROM so that you will have two, be sure to set the jumper pin on the back of each drive. One will need to be “Master” and the other will be “Slave”. The instructions as to where each should go will be on the drive itself.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
