Lynn Teegarden BHS 240 June 23, 2019 Carrie Garman Benchmark: Personal Reflection It takes little thinking to realize that groups are a part of our everyday lives. We knowingly (and sometimes unknowingly) end up as members of groups throughout our days. In my own experience, the first (and most important) group that I am a part of is my family. As David and Frank Johnson point out in Joining Together: Group Theory and Group Skills : “…we would not survive the first few years of our lives, the first few weeks, or even the first few minutes without membership in this group” (p.2, 2017). In beginning this reflection of all the groups in life, my family happens to be the one that defines me the most. As a child, the structure of my family was quite traditional: two, happily married parents, involved grandparents, and seeing other extended family on holidays. As an adult, that picture has shifted to include my sister (whom was adopted five years ago) and the birth of her daughter. As such, the roles have now been split quite differently than just with me

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
