Saudi Aramco Company 2 Executive Summary This report provides an analysis and evaluation of the marketing plan of the Saudi Aramco company, one of the oil and gas major producing company in the middle east. The marketing plan cuts across the marketing environments of the company both external and internal environments which is then synthesized into a SWOT analysis for the company. The analysis entails major strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the company. The report also identifies major improvements of the company and its competitive advantage. The report finds the prospects of the company in its current position. The major areas of weakness require further investigation and remedial action by management. The report also provides the current trends of oil production and consumption in and outside Saudi Arabia

Saudi Aramco Company 3 Introduction Saudi Aramco Company Over the past three decades, the economic growth of Saudi Arabia has been tremendously increasing. This is due to the availability of rich and accessible oil and natural gas. The country form the recent statistics has been ranked as the country with the highest GDP amongst the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) however it has been reported that the country has also the greatest emission of carbon dioxide due to overdependency on oil and gas power generation. The country emerges as one of the biggest countries among the six listed by the GCC having many projects for the photovoltaic (PV) market. However, these major achievements in the country have been brought about by unity and the existence of some companies like Saudi Aramco. In this paper, we are going to discuss in details the marketing environment, marketing strategies of the Saudi Aramco company. Saudi Aramco is one of the oil companies the is fully supported by the government of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Aramco is said to have penetrated its roots in Saudi Arabia in the year 1989 with six major discoveries in the field of gas and oil. Since then there has seen tremendous growth in the oil mining sector in Saudi Arabia. [ CITATION Pat19 \l 1033 ] The birth of Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia has come about with many benefits. Saudi Arabia now is the largest exporter of oil and gas to Japan. This has made the country to develop a positive relationship between these two countries. In the years 2004 and 2005 the company acquired a total of 14.96% shares in Showa Shell Sekiyu, one of the Japanese downstream company. In August 2005 a joint adventure between Saudi State and Sumitomo Chemical was formed to construct and operate a large refining and Petrochemical complex in Rabigh, one of the industrial cities that is found along the Red sea cost f Saudi Arabia. Since then up to now, this relationship has made Saudi Aramco become a very crucial business partner of the Japanese energy industry[ CITATION Ful16 \l 1033 ]
