The first mathematician i will be talking about is benjamin banneker.Benjamin was born on november 9,1731 in Ellicott's mills, maryland. When benjamin was young he met a farmer who also owned a school the farmer allowed him to borrow some books that way he can teach himself how to read and write and study math.As he grew up banneker inherited the farm he grew up in from his grandparents. At the age of thirty banneker painstakingly constructed a clock out of wood without having seen a clock before. At the age of 58 banneker began to study astronomy through the influence of the farmer who lent him the books he used to teach himself.Banneker not being able to sell his astronomical calculations forwarded a copy of his calculations to thomas jefferson who was the secretary of state at the time jefferson then sent his calculations to the Marquis de condorcet, secretary of academie des sciences in paris who published them.Benjamin banneker was never married and died on october 9,1806 at the age of 75. The second mathematician i will be talking about is David blackwell who was born on April 24,1919

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
