Running Head: 2-2-1 Short Answer Ethical Concerns 2 Proposal 1: Racial Predisposition : The aim of this study is to examine the direct link between race and violent criminal activity. In this study, I plan to prove the direct and positive correlation between race and incidence of committing violent crimes. This will then prove that race is the strongest indicator of tendency toward violent crimes. This study seems to be subjective in its introduction of the proposal. When it states that the agenda is to “examine the direct link between the race and violent criminal activity”, it is assumed that such a link exists. Because this study assumes that there is a link between the two, it can be considered racial discrimination, which shows a subjective opinion. With this in mind, the only purpose of this study would be to validate that claim, which would show biases throughout the evidence gathered and research conducted. This proposal does not support the scientific method due to its lack of objectivity in its initial claim; followed by its statement that
