COURSE POLICIES Antonia Henderson, Ph.D.1COURSE POLICIES FOR ANTONIA HENDERSON’S COURSES“Langara College requires all members of the College community to conduct themselves in a mannerthat promotes a learning and working environment characterized by encouragement, free enquiry,integrity, mutual respect, professionalism, recognition of achievement, and social responsibility. TheCollege community respects diversity, is civil, and provides for individual safety” (Langara Collegecode of Academic Conduct, Policy F1004).As a student at Langara, you are responsible for familiarizing yourself and complying with the following College policies: F1004 - Code of Academic Conduct E2008 - Academic Standing - Academic Probation and Academic Suspension E2006 - Appeal of Final Grade F1002 - Concerns about Instruction It is important that you take the time to review these policies. This is particularly important if you are a new student or coming from another country or institution, as the academic culture here may be different from what you are used to. Things you should know: You are responsible for knowing and completing course requirements – I will not remind you of due dates posted online or in the course outlineYou are expected to attend ALLclasses. All class material is fair game on exams. If any assignment deadline or exam date cannot be met due to extenuating circumstances, you must inform the instructor immediately and provide appropriate documentation to demonstrate those extenuating circumstances (see Missed Exams due to Illnesses below). You should retain copies of submitted or returned assignments in case your work is misplaced or you wish to dispute a grade. ACADEMIC HONESTYThe College code of Academic Conduct is contained in Policy F1004, and defines cheating, plagiarism, fraud, and so on. Graded work must be produced in accordance with this policy Failure to do so may result in a reduced grade or a grade of zero and will be reported to the Office of Student Conduct and Judicial Affairs. Additional disciplinary action could include probation, suspension, or expulsion. Here is the link
