2Leadership StyleLeaders and leadership style play an important role in the success and growth of an organization. Leadership is the process of effectively influencing people in a way that they are motivated to achieve the goals of the organization. (Topper.com, n.d.). A leader should have the ability to maintain good interpersonal relations with others and the ability to motivate them to help in achieving organizational goals (Topper.com, n.d.). Leadership style is the method of providing direction, applying plans, and motivating individuals (Topper.com, n.d.). It is important for leaders to know and understand their style of leadership in order to be a more active and effective leader. Knowing your leadership style can help define values and outlook and also help with communication and success (Raines, 2019). Go-to Leadership StyleThere are eight archetypes of leadership styles: Collaborator, Energizer, Pilot, Provider, Harmonizer, Forecaster, Producer and Composer(West, 2015). My go to leadership style is collaborator. Collaborative leaders are characterized as being humble and perceptive about other people’s feelings and needs(West, 2015). They usually take a team-first approach when leading their teams and staff members.
