The two types of white-collar crimes are occupational crimes and corporate crimes. 2.What are three of the four types of occupational crime? Describe each type. Three of the four types of occupational crimes are individual occupational crime--considered to be crimes by someone trying to receive profit or some type of gain, organizational occupational crime-- considered to be crimes committed by individuals but the outcome is beneficial for an organization or such, and professional occupational crime-- known as crimes committed by quite literally professionals in whatever professional occupation they are living. 3.What is pilferage? Why do people engage in this activity? Pilferage is a type of employee theft, and is said to be “the theft of materials, equipment, merchandise, or stationary”. People have been found to be engaging in this activity when they are dissatisfied employee. In addition, the culture of the workplace may also be a factor as to why people are committing pilferage. 4.What is organized crime? What typical activities are included in organized crime? Organized crime is referred as “an operation run by criminals that has illegal activities as a primary source of income”. Typical activities of organized crime include: prostitution, drugs, pornography, extortion, and gambling.
