ENGG1300 Laboratory (V): Superposition, Norton and Thevenin Equivalent Circuits Introduction:In this session, we apply the superposition, Norton equivalent and Thevenin equivalent circuit analysis techniques. The results of the Norton and Thevenin analysis will be verified in the laboratory. The key learning outcomes will be: 1.For a simple resistive circuit comprising a voltage source, a resistor network, and a labelled port: •Calculate the Thevenin equivalent circuit •Calculate the Norton equivalent circuit •Use Norton/Thevenin equivalent circuits to solve for a new circuit when a network is connected to the terminal 2.For a simple resistive circuit comprising of resistors and multiple voltage and/or ideal current sources, apply superposition to- •Calculate the voltage across each circuit component •Calculate the current through each circuit component •Calculate the power dissipated, or supplied by each component
