BENCHMARK: LEADING A CONTINUIOUS CHANGING ORGANIZATION Introduction The paper will examine a discussion as it relates to foundational leadership theories. The emphasis will be on historical foundations, diverse populations, and settings as well as effectiveness. An organization must realign to keep up with the competition. There's no way to stop change; however, to fulfill the mission of the organization, driving change is unavoidable. Change may be a complex as one prepares, but understanding why change should happen, and how to actualize it, will lie at the heart of its stakeholders for success. The paper will discuss also how leaders would direct an organization through the process of change as it is necessary for survival. Much importance has been placed on assessing the preparation for change beginning with execution, but gaining it can be an intricate and intimidating mission (Khan et al., 2014). Leadership has been a long study process from the Great Man Theory; where there is a notion that leaders are born to the Trait Theory; where there is a notion that the possibility that leader's potential can be measured. However, we all know that leaders cannot be leaders without committed followers to aid in the mission and vision of the organization. Foundation Theory: Application Leadership in organizations are different in various aspects. Government organizations most leadership is voted in and you only get failed promises. In the private Sector leadership is very prevalent. There are various hierarchies in leadership but when decisions are made only the top tiers of leadership is brought to the table. All levels should be at the table when decisions are being made. Strategic research is very important because it allows you to make measurable goals in your writing based upon information that you have found. Effective strategic research allows the writer to understand how change really effects/affects an organization. Research is important to organizations in order to help with the organizational flow, financial flow and 2

The AIM model and its action research will allow for all parties to engage in an intervention for success in the development of organizational development in planning. Indeed, to the essence of organizational change, leaders should be transparent, balanced, and focused as I am a big fan of Kurt Lewin's change management model. Lewin is famous for accepting the idea that scholars and specialists require each other to be active and ought to not work in segregation (Lewin, 1952).
