Thesis Statement:
The atomic bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945 were one of the
deadliest war scenes, killing thousands instantly and thousands more, slowly and the long-term
physical and mental effects from radiation on the environment and survivors themselves were
numerous and extended to future generations. This bomb had raised many cancer risks, birth
defects, and malformations or the exposure of the radiation. Research had then proved that the
bombings had several long-term physical and mental effects for many years to follow.
Introduction:
