1. “Night of the Living Dead” is similar and different compared to other parts of the zombie movie genre. A similarity can be shown in the first scene when Barbara and Johnny are in the cemetery. Many moves like this show us a few characters that are going about their lives, but then they see a person behaving strangely and they are usually a zombie that end up killing one of the people in the group. In the few zombie movies I have seen this is a common kick off for the film to set the plot in gear. Another similarity to other films in the genre is that there is often one person that knows what they are doing. In “Night of the Living Dead” it’s Ben, he makes a plan and wants everyone to survive. Other films have this character and they often aren't one of the first few we meet. A difference is in many zombie-esque films something like a disease or natural disaster causes the zombies to arrive. In “Night of the Living Dead” they think it was radiation, but debunk that theory when the characters are watching the news. One more
