SCIENCE IN THE MEDIA 2 When I think of scientists, I think of they guy with the thick black glasses, grey poufy hair, white lab coat and beakers and test tubes going crazy. The media has portrayed scientists to look a certain way, whether it’s a cartoon version or a real version. Everything that happens in this world, everything we do in this world connects to science whether it is dropping a coin off a building or how a coin is made. Scientists have everyday jobs like the rest of us. They wear a lab coat and gloves while they are at work but when they leave, and you see them in the parking lot you would never be able to tell what they do. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
