Greg Lim 2/10/08 TA: Chris Dean When attempting to complete any activity, planning is always one of the most crucial aspects to achieve success. Without a clear and well defined plan for success, much inefficiency can occur and those involved can lose sight of the overall goal. In one of my classes I was placed in charge of a group to complete an engineering design project. In order to complete the project, I had to set a clearly defined goal, divide the group members into small teams, and monitor the team’s progress. The first planning step I took was to establish a goal for our team’s project. I had a brainstorming session with the other group members to gain a wide variety of ideas. From that list of ideas we agreed upon the one we felt would best fulfill the project requirements. This clearly established our overall goal and helped us to make sure all our efforts were put toward completing our final goal. The next step I took was to divide the group members into different teams.
