ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY # 2 Code: H Lexile Level: AD300L Award(s): None Age(s): 5-6 McGeorge, C. Whyte, M. Boomer Goes to School . San Fransisco: Chronicle Books, July 1998. Print. 1-36. Brief overview of book content (Approximately 4 to 6 sentences) Boomer is the main character in this book, and he is a dog. The owner is a child who is taking Boomer to school for show and tell, but the perspective of a day going to school is from Boomer. The book goes through riding the bus to school, all the activities he got into in the classroom, being part of show and tell and finally returning home for the day via another bus ride. This is a very humorous book with a laid back feel that any child would enjoy being read or reading themselves. Opinion of the book (Approximately 1 to 2 sentences) I like how the book is something about school, but not in the way of a child going to school for the first time, but a dog getting an opportunity to see what “human school” looks like. Boomer gets to experience where his owner goes every day and even be part of show and tell. I enjoyed how excited Boomer was about every aspect of school, but like

most kids, he struggled with sitting still. I feel it is a relatable book for children in a fun yet unusual way.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
