You should use your own words to summarize what you may have read in the Week 1 Resources. Insert your answer below Mass communication has a broad spectrum of information. The audience has a unique role as the receiver and giving feedback. Every individual has a different perspective so that it can provide all kinds of feedback. Also, there are noise or glitches and distractions that alter the process of delivering the information. Mass, meaning the general population can access it, and the medium is not restricted. For me, mass communication is now changing, and the new name is “social media.” Internet is an active medium that reaches out to the public. It has the two elements: giving information and having a large group of people that represents the audience. Mass communication is not only for the expert to deliver. It helps us connect to our loved ones and bring us closer to one another, but it can also ruin us. News, post, videos, games, and other forms of mediums are a source of information. Communication is essential to us. Before I only think of mass communication is from current events or political issues. I have gained knowledge that mass communication is part of my daily life. I am listening to the radio, reading magazines, sharing videos, or post to my social media. I feel that I need to be cautious in what I read and share because it can harm others or make sure it is not fake news.
