Sample Paper Fluoxetine, introduced in 1987 (McKim, 2003) and marketed in the United States under the brand name Prozac, is the most commonly studied (Davidson, Meoni, Haudiquet, Cantillon, & Hackett, 2002) and prescribed SSRI (De Nayer et al., 2002) ; it also accounts for over one- third of yearly antidepressant drug sales in the United States (Comer, 2002) . The latest antidepressants include the less well-known serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), of which the first available for use in the United States was venlafaxine (Burnett & Dinan, 1998) . Venlafaxine, marketed in the United States under the brand name Effexor, and other SNRIs are unique in their ability to clinically affect reuptake of both serotonin and norepinephrine (Burnett & Dinan, 1998) .
