The Grand Mosque is the largest mud brick building in the world. It is considered to be one of the greatest achievements of the Sudano - Sahelian architecture style. 2) The Ceremonial Mask known as a Mboom or Bwoom, (Lazzari and Schlesier, pg. 7) can be represented by the second category the best. The mask was originally used in African masquerades, which were traditionally known to celebrate dance, art, songs and rituals that reflect African customs and concerns of the time.
