Josh Kelly Business 120-03 Mr. McNamara 14 March 2007 Ventosa Vineyards Ventosa Vineyards was opened in 2003 by Lenny and Meg Cecere. Owning a winery has always been one of Lenny's dreams. His grandparents grew grapes outside Naples, Italy, and in Calabria, Italy. He was also encouraged by the success of Vinifera grapes used in Riesling which stands out among the Finger Lakes wines. This winery is located in Fayette just outside of Geneva on the shores of Seneca Lake. The Cecere’s returned to Geneva from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2000 after retiring as a general contractor. After returning he purchased a 107-year-old farmhouse on 65 acres, turning the land into vineyards. Also in 2000, Lenny planted 10 acres of grapes, which were harvested three years later. He had another 13 acres planed in 2003 which were harvested in the 2006 season. The name “Ventosa” comes from the Italian word meaning windy. The winery itself has a 350 seat banquet room for weddings and other large parties. They also have a café that is open every day that offers diners a unique Tuscan experience.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
