Normal Sinus Rhythm Pacemaker Site: SA Node Rhythm: regular Rate: 60-100 bpm P Wave: regular QRS Complex: regular PR Interval: normal and consistent 0.12-0.20 seconds Symptoms: none Treatment: none Sinus Bradycardia Pacemaker Site: SA node paces the heart at a rate less than 60 bpm. Rhythm: regular Rate: < 60 bpm P Wave: regular QRS Complex: regular PR Interval: normal and consistent 0.12-0.20 seconds Causes: highly trained athletes, recent acute MI, straining/vomiting Symptoms: usually none, but may complain of dizziness, weakness, or have an altered LOC. Treatment: Only if Symptomatic. Atropine 0.5 mg IV Push q 3-5 Minutes for a Max of 3 mg. Notify MD. Give O2 @ 2L Minimum. If Atropine fails use Epinephrine, Isoproterenol drip, Dopamine Drip, or a pacemaker. Sinus Tachycardia

Epinephrine and Atropine IV. External Pacemaker.
