Abstract In this term paper the topic will be focusing on the study of diseases in the Philippines and other countries that involves; dengue, mad cow, bird flu. The main component of this study is to prevent diseases that has been mentioned. It will allow as an additional information or knowledge for the researchers. In this study it talks about health concerns, issues, and harmful diseases Mad cow disease, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), is afatal neurological disorder of cattle resulting from infection by a prion, a disease that was first found in cattle. It's related to a disease in humans called variant Creutzfeldt- Jakob disease (vCJD). Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus . Dengue is spread by several species of female mosquitoes of the Aedes type , principally A. aegypti . The virus has five types; infection with one type usually gives lifelong immunity to that type, but only short-term immunity to the others. This term paper is very important not only to the future researchers but also for those readers and has health concerns, this will provide them an understanding of what will be the diseases and how does it affect the society itself. In this study researchers will acquire the importance of the diseases.
Introduction Historical Background Disease , any harmful deviation from the normal structural or functional state of an organism, generally associated with certain signs and symptoms and differing in nature from physical injury . A diseased organism commonly exhibits signs or symptoms indicative of its abnormal state. The study of disease is called pathology . It involves the determination of the cause (etiology) of the disease, the understanding of the mechanisms of its development (pathogenesis), the structural changes associated with the disease process (morphological changes), and the functional consequences of those changes. Correctly identifying the cause of a disease is necessary to identifying the proper course of treatment . Humans, other animals , and plants are all susceptible to diseases of some sort. Which disrupts the normal functioning of one type of organism may have no effect on the other types. The natural history of disease is the course a disease takes in individual people from its pathological onset ("inception") until its eventual resolution through complete recovery or death. The inception of a disease is not a firmly defined concept. The natural history of a disease is sometimes said to start at the moment of exposure to causal agents . Natural history of disease is one of the major elements of descriptive epidemiology .
