Tania Santana LIT 232 Fanfiction Rose “Watson” “Yes Sherlock” “Are you alright?” “Yes, yes...I am. I am not lonesome” …….. 1 year ago ……. On a cool breezy night after a long day, I needed a walk. Sherlock and I had witnessed a horrible accident. A wife and two children lifeless in their crushed vehicle. I was grateful for myself not having anyone to lose. Well, except for Sherlock, but I saw Sherlock as immortal. As I walk along the sidewalk to clear my head, I spot a bench as lonesome as me. I sit and contemplate. “Lonely?” I look up and strangely the words couldn’t come out of my mouth. I’ve never seen anything so beautiful. She chuckled and I watched as words came out through her perfect smiling lips, “Do you talk?”

“Y-y-yes, yes, I do” “Do you mind if I sit?” Yes, yes ...I mean no, I don’t mind at all” She sat next to me and after one good look at me she started, “ I guess I’m as lonesome as you seem to be. My husband died about a year ago. He was a brave man. He fought for this country. Even though I was proud, I always feared not having him back. Oh these lonely nights, I just walk. Somehow it helps me to be at ease.” We seemed to have much in common. We connected immediately. We went our own way and agreed to meet at this bench the next day. I get home, and oh did I want to share this with Sherlock, but I mustn’t yet. Is just a friend… “Watson? Are you alright?” Sherlock asked as he looked at me across the living room with his piercing eyes.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
