1 Student Name CWV 101 5 Oct 2019 Instructor Personal Commitments Assessment Be sure you answer both Part 1 and Part 2 of this assignment before submitting. Part 1 After reading Chapter 2 in the textbook and the topic overview for this topic, write a two- to three-sentence answer to each of the six questions that form the basic components or personal commitments for your worldview. Answer the questions about your own beliefs in your own words, not what you think the Christian worldview believes. Keep this worksheet intact and only add your answers under each question. 1. What is your belief about ultimate reality? Regarding ultimate reality I identify in the belief of the existence of a personal God, creator of heaven and earth. I use the Holy Bible as a testimony to support this belief, Psalm 146:6 states: “who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever” (English Standard Version) 2. What is your belief about the nature of the universe? In my perspective and tying the concepts of nature of the universe with ultimate reality, I believe God created a perfect universe and everything on it with a purpose (Genesis 1:31). Chapter 2 in our textbook, explains how a close universe system does not allow external factor influences in, but if the universe is open to spiritual influence, it will bring beliefs in (Hiles & Smith, 2015). 3. What is your belief about human nature and the afterlife? I believe we were created with a purpose to do well in the world, and to act in a Godly way. I also believe in life after death, and that the place we go after we die, it will depend on our action in earth, it will be our “reward or punishment” (Hiles & Smith, 2015).
