Mission Trip Argentina Anissa Mendoza MAT-144 June 3, 2018 Professor Robert Mamada Mission Trip Part A to Argentina On June 03, 2018 a group of six individuals and myself decided to plan a mission trip to Argentina for twenty eight days. Argentina is located in South America, according to Central Intelligence Agency (2018) Argentina it is actually fairly new, in 1816 after Rio Plata declared independence from Spain and after Uruguary, Paraguary, and Bolivia went their own ways, the land that was left became Argentina. (Para 1) Surprising to our knowledge Argentina does not require each individual to apply for a temporary visa for less than 90 days. Argentina’s population as of last year was 44,293,293 people with twice the rate of birth per year than deaths, the country looks beautiful and may seem like it is doing good but they are facing a big issue with poverty. The poverty crisis in Argentina is extreme. The government estimates more than a full third of the population is living below the poverty line, and 20 percent live on less than two dollars per day. Poverty in Argentina means that eleven percent of people are estimated to be unable to meet basic food needs, and the poverty crisis hits minority groups the hardest. ” ( Conn o r Keowen 2017 Para. 1) Argentina became the final destination due to the fact that it is my last name but mainly with the impact we can make can be seen at that very moment, It is going to be an unforgettable experience, our plan is to not only enjoy the culture but to also help the communities in poverty struggling to stay alive on the streets of Mendoza. Listed below shows the cost of transportation to get to Argentina, around Argentina and then back home after 28 days. 1

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
