The Instructions To Husbands And Wives God made man and woman, in his image and to come together in one flesh. For man and woman to become one flesh, they first must become husband and wife. Marriage reflects the relationship with God. Husbands and wives will place him at the head and will serve him. God instructed husbands to be considerate and respectful to their wives and for wives to submit and to be obedient to their husbands. Apostle Peter's letters had confused and discouraged the believers of Jesus Christ. They were concerned about the persecution they were to encounter because of their faith. Peter, who is called the "apostle of hope," instructs how Christians should respond during the suffering they will endure due to there their belief in the Lord. His message also tells us is to trust the Lord, live and obedient life no matter what your situations, and to keep your hope fixed on God's promise of deliverance. The believer is expected to go through suffering, but it does not last long and for those who remain steadfast will receive great blessings. 1 Peter 3:1-6 “Wives, in the same way, submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. 3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 5 For this is the way, the holy women of the
