The Mediterranean diet is considered as the healthiest diet. The reason why it is considered the healthiest diet because it says that people who do this diet, have lower rates of cardiovascular disease and have a longer life-span. The main components of this diet is abundant in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and olive oil. It could also feature fish and poultry-lean sources of protein-over red meat. 2. Which diet leads to the greatest longevity of life? Create a sample menu of a full day’s eating of this diet. The diet that leads to the greatest longevity of life is the Mediterranean diet. Sample menu: Breakfast Whipped ricotta topped with walnuts and fruit Snack Roasted chickpeas Lunch Tabouli salad w/ whole grain pita Snack Caprese skewers Dinner Roasted chicken, gnocchi, and a large salad with vinaigrette.
