Unformatted text preview: At the End These past two semesters of German have exposed my to more of the German language and culture that I had expected. Although I still have some trouble understanding fluent speakers in person, I am able to understand what is being said on German television, German movies, “Deutsch: Na klar” listening clips, and I can make out a lot of what is said in German music. I am able to read German passages and not have to translate them into English in order for the passages to make sense. After my second semester, I feel like I am starting to read more like a German speaker. I still have trouble reading complex sentences in German, but I am capable of reading simple constructions of all grammar covered thus far. Writing is definitely my strongest area. I am able to correctly construct German sentences with the grammar and vocabulary I have learned so far. Writing is probably my strength because I think there is a grammar and vocabulary I have learned so far....
