Unformatted text preview: Digital and Analog Computers are fully digital, meaning they work only with numeric digits. The means that everything a computer does is based on math. The opposite of digital is analog. Analog data is continuously variable, and has no precise values. For example, when a person speaks or sings, the sound waves are analog. Computers cannot directly process analog data, but some computers can convert analog data to digital to approximate the original. For example, when you use a microphone to record your voice using a computer, the computer quickly converts the various tones it hears into digital data and stores them for later playback....
