For this week’s current event I decided to pick the Disneyland Brawl. I have included the link for the article as well as the video so you can see this happen for yourselves and maybe come up with your own theories. I feel as though before reading this, it is very important for your understanding to watch the video. Disclaimer warning, due to its violent nature, it can be disturbing to watch. On July 6, 2019, a fight between several family members erupted at Disneyland in the middle of Mickey’s Toon Town. The altercation started out as a heated verbal argument and then broke out into a physical fight after a woman spit on the man in the red shirt, causing him to throw the first punch. This fight lasted about five minutes with guests intervening trying to stop the fight and was caught on video by other park guests. They were then escorted out of the park. As if this wasn’t bad enough, Avery Thompson (the man in the red shirt) attempted to hit a Disneyland employee with his car on his way out of the parking structure. He then threatened to kill family members, the ones he got into the fight with, while driving away. According to the Los Angeles Times, no arrests were made after the fight because the family members refused to cooperate or press charges against each other so they released. It was
