Kylie Adams 10th History Final 1/30/19 How France Changed Under Napoleon Napoleon reformed France with his changes in education. For example, “Napoleon added four grades of school; primary, secondary, lycees (schools run on military lines), and technical schools. Also, schools started stressing the importance of obedience and military values. Primary education stayed the same as it was in 1789. Subjects such as science and math became more important in secondary schools. In 1814, 9,000 students were attending the 36 lycees out of a population of 30 million.” (CE) This changed the schools drastically because if Napoleon had not changed any of the schools “rules”, then who knows if our schools would be the way they are today. He added things to school that were very much needed, he made changes with the classes and subjects at schools, and he set up four different grades of school. Napoleon had a huge impact on schools.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
