Daniel Landis 9/22/2008 Synopsis - Righteous Lauren Sandler tells us at the beginning of the book Righteous that what she will be writing about is not a movement that is on the up rise, but rather a movement by the youth of America that is already here. She talks in the first chapter about the Christian rock festival known as Cornerstone, and the extreme points of view on Christianity and their major role the anti-abortion movement. In the second chapter Sandler talks about Mars Hill Church in Seattle and their open door policy and their methods of getting people into church. Sandler’s third chapter discusses a “Skate-board Ministry” and the relatively new idea of a “Skatechurch.” She shows us how these skaters go out into the community and just skate to draw a crowd and once the crowd gathers and they have them wanting to come back they then begin a ministry and try to minister to those there in attendance.
