Vocation: Life Discernment and Time Line Choosing between single, married, and the religious life is something that sometimes cannot be chosen out of freewill. It just naturally comes, however if God agrees to my plan and blesses me with a wonderful partner than I would choose the married life. Although in recent times, marriage has become less popular, especially in developed countries. The institution suffered a dramatic decline — partly due to increased divorce rates, but also because many couples have chosen not to marry at all. I still do want a partner regardless of the decline, some advantages I see in married life are; Most human beings are not solitary and crave companionship. Life is enhanced when experiences can be shared with another person who loves you and has similar interests and concerns; A religious marriage can be a way for a couple to deepen their bonds to each other, as well as help them form a deeper relationship with God and receive His blessing; Couples who
