1 Augustus of Prima Porta Image Source: Ancient world Magazine This is the sculpture of the first emperor of Rome, which is a full sculpture of Augustus Caesar with a cupid on the right side of the structure. Through this sculpture, it clear that the roman clothing is depicted; the armored torso breastplate is decorated with figures of gods. And the draping of the cloth that Augustus holds with his left hand. Technically this depicted the clothing of the Romans in, especially people in power such as this emperor. The other is the cupid on the right side of the sculpture the essence of the cupid is not clear; but it looks like the cupid is supporting itself to the clothing of Augustus which might have the relevance of this leader being connected to mythical; creatures, and having a status symbol of superiority.
